Our amazing Cell Retreat...

Last weekned, my cell group, altogether 8 of us went to Cameron Highland for our 1st cell (GEMs_For_Christ) retreat.

It was a totally relaxing and enjoyable retreat, with:-
- time to rest & relax (cRaZy phOTo shOOts at Secret Recipe, BNM resthouse, Cameron Highland Resort, Strawberry Park, Cactus Valley, Lakehouse, and inside Dahlia Apartment, the many YUM CHA sessions & chatting at Secret Recipe, Lakehouse, Aunty Rosie Kopitiam, Boh Tea Plantation etc..
- time to reflect and share about our life & our dream (1st morning devotion on praising God, then small accountability group sharing, followed by 2nd morning sharing of our dreams and short message on ‘larger than life’);
- time to learn about each other’s personality & character (God really blessed us with a variety of funny characters :) - a few coffee addicts; 1 TV/ cartoon lover; a few long winded & chatty ones; many models who love to pose; many BIG eaters – eating n eating non-stop; some good chefs n servers; many jokers etc…)
- time to put ‘love and care’ into action (we stayed close to EACH OTHER and to GOD throughout the retreat…read on)

To me, it was an unforgettable retreat. Not only because it was our very 1st cell retreat with me as the cell leader (the ‘mother’ to 7 children), but how we have learnt to accept and love one another – enjoyed some quality time together fellowshipping and speaking to each other’s life. Most of all, we’ve even risen to the occasion to help each other and hold each other up in time of need when Nic got into an accident on our way back. We thank God that He protected each one of us, no one was injured. All of us stayed back to support ‘in spirit’ and ‘in presence’ until the towing of the vehicle & police report was done & ensuring all reached home safely in the late nights.

I guess no words can sufficiently describe how much we’ve gained from this retreat, only 8 of us will understand what took place in our hearts and how these memories will serve to remind us the spirit of cell group and God’s amazing love towards each one of us.

Here’s the link to the photos we’ve taken during the retreat. The pictures speak thousand words :)
